Background

Aaron Lawrence is a professional Session drummer who was born on the 18th December 1996 in North London, England where he also grew up. He started playing drums from the age of 2 using pots and pans as his imaginary drum kit with McDonald's straws or broken wood as his sticks. His dad gifted him his very first drum kit at the age of 6 years old after he noticed that Aaron gained very good rhythm playing along to many different music TV shows like Top Of The Tops. He grew up watching his Dad play drums at church every Sunday wishing he would get his Youth Convention, which was the start of him gaining more opportunities as his Dad saw that Aaron was ready for him to step up to play for the main services. From the age of 17, Aaron started playing at Ruach City Church, where he and his family attend. Aaron studied at Bimm London/University Of West London based in Fulham who's been attended by many high profile musicians it opened up his eyes not just on drums but musically in general.

Musical Influences

Aaron's biggest musical influences are his Dad, Gerald Heyward, Brian Fraser Moore, Calvin Rodgers, Aaron Spears, and Stanley Randolph as they are a big part of how he approaches playing the drums.

Previous work and current artists

Aaron's first professional gig came at the age of 18 playing for a Swedish artist called Johanna at Box Park in Shoreditch where many big artists have performed. He's had the pleasure of working with many different artists which include Jonathan Nelson, Maranda Curtis, Megan Williams, Ouraa, Johanna, The Shellers, The Smokers, Alrie Baah and many more. Aaron's first studio recording session came in 2017 where he recorded drums on Jamal's first EP called Killer it was different and an eye opening experience. Aaron has also graced the stages of many big music venues such as 02 Brixton Academy, 02 Forum, 02 Academy Islington, O2 Shepherd's Bush, Under the bridge, 02 indigo and more. Aaron just finished recording drums for Jamals 2nd album at the end of April 2019 which will be released in February 2020 and he also had the pleasure to record drums on the track called " My Healer" for his church Ruach City Church latest EP which came out on the 19th of April 2019.  Aaron Just finsished recordings drums for a rock band at the back end of December 2019 where he had to track 5 songs for the rock bands EP,  which is due to be out on all music major platforms such Itunes, Spotify etc in April 2020.
